Hi gents,
I currently have a no80 x2 scraper plane by record and Stanley? They both work but I prefer the record over the Stanley (that's just me)
I've been looking about and keeping my every open. And have spotted a Stanley 112 plane. It's in very good con and has original blade (not sure what type it is yet tho) It can act as a scraper and a toothing plane, has any one used this plane and what's it like pros as cons if you can, if I had it I would replace the iron and keep hold of original.

I haven't asked this question in a while what's it's worth (£) as I don't want to over pay

Cheers

Well completed listings on Ebay seem to be from £154 to £55 so under £100 would be good depending on the condition.

Bigger scraper planes are better on bigger areas, you are less likely make a hollow area with a longer sole, and they are easer to handle.

I have a home made infill scraper plane which gets used more then the No80, I also have a toothing plane which also sees some use on difficult timber.

Hi TT

Yep all my own work, the sides are welded to the sole and the rest is riveted together, its infilled with Yew.

I'm so jealous, I wish I could make planes. :(
The hand planes you use are they all made by you? What else have you done? Mitre plane :)

I have to say again that is beautiful very good work
