I made this after around two weeks of getting my Hegner.
It was for one of my workmates to give to his wife.
I am chuffed to bits with it and so is he.

Kev you have done =D> a very impressive project, and some very intricate cuts needed.Like the grains in the wood.Out of interest Kev do you know the name of the wood you used?

Thx for the comments. Ive moved on alot since then and I am improving as I experiment.
The timber is spalted beech which I picked up from a great place called Isca woodcraft between Newport and Cardiff.

Really friendly people who do some quality stuff. Ive been doing xmas trees in the same wood and they turn out fab as well.
Its well worth having a play around with it but can be quite delicate to sand across the grain. Fortunately I have an unlimited supply of free micromesh which works wonders :)

Eugene, well done. I dont think there is an exact translation but it is words to that effect :)
The letters are written on but i have purchased a very good pyrography kit but I am still practising at the moment.
Burning wood is a lot harder than imagined, especially doing lettering.

Regards to all
