Was having a tinker with my table saw last night and found that when the blade is lowered completely it wont drop below the table line, the lowest point leaves 13mm above the table. I have checked the rise and fall mechanism and all is ok. Any one else have a table saw that does this. I know I can fit a smaller blade it only came to light as I needed a 10mm cut and could drop the 305mm low enough.

Yep, that’s how it is. I alternate between the 305mm original (still!) and a 250 fine cut blade - I also have a fine cut 300mm blade for manmade boards.

So you need to swap the blade over - not a big job, but if you are really pressed, I guess you could shim the workpiece with a bit of (flat) mdf or something. I would be very careful about doing that though, you would need to ensure the shim could not move independently onto the blade, so likely more trouble than it’s worth, unless you don’t have a smaller blade (which clearly you need for the job).

Great saw though in my opinion.

Cheers
