hi,hope somebody out there can help me, I have a scheppach 260hms planer thicknesser and when using in the thicknessing mode the clutch
lever keep dropping down, which stops the feed roller. has anybody had the same problem or know what might be the cause of this.

Clutches on P/Ts are very primitive things, so it should be easy to fix if can can see the problem. The Scheppach is particularly primitive, IIRC.

I can't remember the details of the Scheppach, but on my Kity the lever simply moves a jockey wheel to tension the secondary belt, which powers the feed rollers. It has a notch that drops over a pin. When relaxed, the elt simply bounces on the cutter block, so it does nothing.

Have a look to see if there is something that is supposed to keep the belt tensioned, and see if that something is not where it is supposed to be.
