I have a Felder combination machine in my workshop and I recently bought a new rip saw blade from a popular wood work machinery supplier. When I ordered the blade I told the sales agent what type of machine it was for and I asked whether i needed to measure the centres of the two pins either side of the 30mm bore in the centre of the blade. I was told that i didn't need to as all european blades will fit, as they are standard. I was sent an Omas blade, which needless to say didn't fit because the holes either side of the main bore did not line up. when I contacted the sales agent again and asked for a refund he didn't believe that the blade did not fit, even when i was stood in front of the machine and physically measuring it. the centres of the pins on my machine are 46mm and he was adamant they should be 60mm as that was the european standard. As a final wind up he ended the conversation with "Next time you order a blade you should state that you have a non standard machine" ??. Can anyone tell me whether there is a standard distance between these pins?. Surely if there is a european standard then Felder would make them that size?
Thanks

Felder regularly have deals on saw blades which makes their prices very competitive

You've got more patience than me.

I'd be spitting blood and quite a lot less polite about that experience! Let us know how you get on, and, if you don't get it quickly and politely resolved, who the supplier was, just in case someone else gets caught.

Hope it gets sorted.

E.
