Hi there.
I have a number of spare parts. Is it just the brass shoe, or the whole assembly including the adjusting screw?. If you could post a photo of the plane it would help.
Cheers Richard.

here are the pics , also im thinking of fixing the fence arm as you can see its brocken off at some stage, it doesn't effect its use, but dont look as it should if you know what i mean. need to make new fence wedges to but that easy. what do you recommend? do you use these types of plane oftern??

oh and the dove tail mouth is chipped but i dont think im able to make a dovetail fitting to match? how would i do it?

Toby I think you need to stop and review your business thinking.

You give the impression from your other posts that you are buying these tools hoping to sell them on at a profit and are not wanting to use them for yourself.

Putting a tool like this one back into the sort of condition where someone would want to use it or buy it to look at needs quite a lot of skill which it sounds like you don't have. In a case like this it needs access to odd parts which can only be sourced from other tools in even worse condition.
But sash fillisters are very common and not valuable!

Anyone who really wants one can easily find one in very good condition for less money than you would have to charge to make a profit, even if you got this cheap in your ebay mixed box.

If you did manage to repair this basket case of a plane and offer it for sale, who would your customer be?

I think in a little misunderstood, im not a carpenter or joiner. I'm a tree surgeon. I choose to use old hand tools as a hobby and enjoy making things and doing every day jobs with old tools. I do buy and sell. Witch it seem some people have a problem with and i can't seem to understand why. Another hobby of mine is restoring tools and furniture that's why im going to do a course in September. It must be frustrating that my questions seem silly but im not a master. I'm just a 23yr who enjoys these thing. And will keep on enjoying them, i was only seeking advice and help with things that im trying to learn. Oh im also a collector (who isn't)
