Hi I recently bought a mini sanding drum from axminster, a carrol one. I was wondering would it be safe to use in my table mounted router on a slower speed?

The first caveat would be : don't try to put these in the 1/4" collet. You would need a 6mm collet or adapter sleeve. They're rated to 10,000 rpm, so if your router will achieve that, fine, if not, I think it's not worth the risk. I think you may get a lot of burning too.
