I used MDF, Spraymount and paper backed abrasive to make a sanding board. I'm sure I sprayed the paper fully but the sheets curl at the edges. Later it was necessary to remove the abrasive sheet and replace it. This time the abrasive hardly sticks at all.

Does anyone have a solution?

I used spray adhesive and mounted it onto a large ceramic floor tile in case the mdf bent when dampened.
You could e-mail Andrew Crawford (box maker) as he uses these all the time and he will answer you, I've asked him questions before.

I use a board with a couple of strips of wood on opposite edges, held on with screws. Fold the paper round the board, screw on the strips, job done. No glue, no mess. In use, make sure most of the usage is from fixed side to fixed side.
