Has anyone got any recommendations for sanding belts? I have a record BDS 250 which takes 152x1220 belts. I'm after the butt spliced ones (not scarfed joint) that Axminster sell but at a more realistic price!

Not sure what Axminster are charging for their belts but I've used these guys for other sanding products and always been very happy.

Do you find the belts from Axi have a pronounced bump? If so I've experienced the same problem with cheap belts I've purchased before, solution is run a coarse file over the surface of the joint and you can all but eliminate the problem.

Thanks for the links guys I'll have a look.

Never had a problem with the Axi ones in use - just the price is a little high!
