The trouble with this sort of drama is that it tends to make one even more sceptical and cynical about public life than one was before. Who can you trust? And if the answer is "nobody" then that is very saddening, wouldn't you say?
I don't want to be a cynic.
Jolly good drama though.

Good story (cross between crime and political drama) and some great acting.

Saturday night BBC4, Belgium Detective Thriller - a bit far fetched but very gripping.

The other one to watch is In the Line of Duty - BBC2 Weds I think? Keeley Hawes playing a tremendous unglamorous part. Did she/ didn't she do it ?

Yes I have to agree I am also hooked on Salamander. I am also watching in the line of duty. It does make a change to most of the rubbish on the TV.
