I'm currently looking to buy a good router table. I had my mind made up on the Axminster UJK Cast Iron router table with the UJK router lift but then I seen the MLCS Power Lift Pro and I must admit it looks class, unfortunately I live in Ireland and it's an american machine so the frequencies are different. So I started looking at an electric lift from Europe but all I can find it the Rutlands electric lift and I'm a bit skeptical of it. I have bought clamps from Rutlands and they're great but the router table itself looks a bit DIY branded. Has anyone got it and what's your review on it?

If I were to spend that much money on a router table/lift I think I could do it better. They have literally just stuck a stepper motor on the shaft where you normally put the crank handle.
A nema 23 motor is about £30 and a controller for single axis maybe £15, of course there will be a small power supply and stepper driver another £20 maybe but those are Uk prices so they probably cost about £10 the lot in China.
As for the Android tablet connectivity thing, I can hardly get mine to link to the headphones half the time and it just seems gimicky to me, will it be supported long term etc. ?

The UJK table is nice because of the cast table.
The important things are a good accurate fence with repeatability and easy adjustment, a flat bed and a lift which is easy to use and does not move when in use.

I have an Incra fence which is great, and the cheap hand winding rutlands router lift and motor. You can buy both these for the price of the premium router table and you will have enough left over to build a top with a t-track in it for a mitre guage.

Or if you are not keen on building stuff Incra do tables a bit like the UJK one as well, check out wood workers workshop, they do Incra stuff.
You could get a second hand spindle moulder for the same money as the fancy rutlands electronic one.
