Hi,

I haven't used them myself, I tend to steer clear of things with black teeth

I don't know anything about these saws. However, I've just bough three Bahco blades and a handle for their Ergo system. I believe the black saw plates are simply a "low-friction, rust-protective coating". The teeth aren't coated. They are black because they are the typical hardpoint teeth you get on any non-sharpenable saw these days. Who knows who makes there "Dakota" saws. At least with buying Bahco, you know where it's coming from and what you're getting.

TBH, I was just hoping they might be a tad better than your average 'cheap' saw. At £7 odd each, I wasn't expecting anything brilliant.

The ones they are replacing are chucked in the back of the van, for breaking down lengths that wont fit in. They didn't stay sharp long.

My tenon saw, I left in the back of my pickup and it rusted away !

Maybe , I'll have a look for a slightly better brand that aren't too pricey ?

I've only cut a test piece with each one so far, but they seem ok for the money
