Maybe they should axe it.
They'll only rebrand it with another host so the content will be the same.
Maybe they just don't want to try and replace Mr Moore and who could bame them.
Seems a fitting time.

I agree another host is not likely to cut the mustard, SPM is a hard act to follow not least for his very long term personal touch, personally typed letters etc, with amateur astronomers.

Not only that, the world has changed there are any number of website eg heavens above, stellarium, NASA, ESA etc that now provides public astronomical information that was not available say 10 years ago. I even wonder about the future of astronomical magazines at times - I certainly don't feel the need to buy one.

And then we have Brian Cox and co who provide a bigger effect although for a shorter time.

Time to move on IMO
