I asked about using Rowan/Mountain ash ages ago.....told it will turn.

Fancied having an experiment with a little bit of a goblet affair and vase, so having it there, I decided to have a go.

Not very intricate pieces, but i'm happy.

Very simple, think I should have put the same detail at the top of the stem as well as the bottom. Wall is about 4mm thick, started to flex then.

Again, simple. Turned to what looked nice to me, no particular shape followed.
Its not hollow though, made it for a glass insert.

Both just sanding sealer, and a few coats of wax.

I'd be happy too. as you say not delicate, but usable. Rowan has some good mystical properties to some , so should make a good pressie for any witches you might know :)
