I have embarked on something that could either be brilliant or a disaster.
I’m making some built in wardrobes out of cherry, so far so good. However, I’ve noticed that the cherry has a tendency to splinter in the router easily.
I’ve solved this more or less. The router bits are new, silicon sprayed while in use, not allowed to get hot they are allowed time to cool. Multiple thin passes not being forced and the wood has been left in the bedroom for 4 weeks to condition.
But, I’m still getting splintering! Is there anything else I can do? I’ve used oak, pine and ABW in the past and never had this problem.
