I needed to make a holder for a beat scale and since this was curved at a 25" radius I had to first make up a circle cutting jig for one of my routers. I based it on Steve Maskery's masterful design and I won't go into the details here. The only change I made was to make use of the fine adjuster that I already had on the fence that came with the router.

Notice the packing pieces underneath the pivot point and router to bring the trammel and jig to the right height and to support the router.

I guess-timated where to put the pivot point and made a trial cut in a but of softwood, offered up the beat scale and blow me if it wasn't spot-on (makes a change that the woodworking Gods are looking down on me favourably).

Getting there....the fine height adjuster ion the Trend router is very good. The beat scale is inset.

All done...job's a good'un..just needs finishing

What's a 'beat scale', I hear you ask? Why, it's the bit that sits at the bottom of a longcase clock and the pendulum swings by.
