Router - Any use or bin

I have a Bosch POF1100 AE 1/4" router. It does not work very well, slows down speeds up when in use. Sometimes makes a lot of noise. I don't have either the time or the inclination to have a look at it, even if it is a quick fix.

Is it any use to anybody either as a repair or just for spares? I don't want anything for it (wouldn't sell anything that was not right) but you would need to collect.

Anybody, or does it go in the bin?

It may not be as serious as you think. If you can get at them easily, try cleaning/replacing the brushes and cleaning the commutator.

Worn brushes and a dirty commutator may cause the problem you describe.

Otherwise there may be an intermittent electrical fault somewhere.
