About 3 years ago I got a cheap JCB sander which I have been so surprised with. It has variable speed a collector on the back which works surprisingly well. It has had some serious work on my machine restorations. I have always used decent abranet sanding sheets.
Recently the Velcro has stopped working so I thought I would treat myself to a new Bosch one. Big mistake. Its noisy as hell, has no variable speed, the collector is pants and the Velcro has lost its grip within 2 weeks.
Anyone else experienced rubbish quality on branded tools

I thought abranet is pretty notorious for killing Velcro backing

Can’t comment on the quality of Bosch sanders though

Yes abranet is tough on pads, thats why they sell the interface pad that can be replaced fairly cheaply.
