Hi
I wonder if anybody can help me out with contact details for somebody that can repair a Robland all in one machine that I inherited from my father about 10 years ago. The spindle moulder has recently seized and the saw belt is at the end of its belt tightening adjustment and is not powerful enough to go through one inch oak board. I am based in Macclesfield so somebody reasonably local would be great
If any competent member is up to the repair I have quite a stock of Ash,Chestnut, Scots Pine and some Cherry that has been planked from trees in my wood that I would be happy to trade for help with the repairs
Many thanks
Pete

In the interest of controlling the case h outflow I would attempt the following

1. Remove all of the inspection panels to gain access
2. Adjust the belt tension to its minimum range. Then remove the belt and I spent it for its printed on labels which will include a belt ID number / length. / width etching. Take this to a belt supplier or look online and replace/ fit and adjust. Belt should be less than£10
3. The spindle sounds more serious. What you can do is remove the spindle to inspect the cause of the freeze up. You might be lucky and its just a bearing you can replace. I'm having problems thinking what might have happened to your spindle

The good thing is these machines are fairly simple in design and it maybe just poor maintenance by the previous owner

Good luck

Al
