Well I posted at Christmas that I was thinking about getting one of these and as a new comer to woodworking took the advice from a few others on here and took the plunge and bought one, with me working away from home the first time I got chance to have a play was last weekend and as promised at Christmas I would give my view from an amateur woody.

I have seen all the hype on YouTube about these and the 1 hour vids that show how to take it out of the box well I am sorry but mine will be short

The machine came well packed and was easy to take out of the box, set it up on the bench and had a play to set it at the right angle for sharpening my normal hand chisels, no need to align the belt it was spot on straight out of the box so no worries here.
I did however purchase a straight jig at the same time that fits into the guide which was a blessing keeping the chisels in a straight line, any way me being like a bull in a china shop and a kid with a new toy grabbed the chisel and had a go at sharpening it.

No training and never used one before it sharpened the chisel spot on at 25degs

so my review over

Sorry but I don't like to go on just say what I have to say and that's it
