It seems Rob has moved on to concentrate on teaching and his excellent dvds.

He is no longer the L-N agent in Canada.

Wonder if that means there will be some Veritas or other makes of tools appearing on his bench in the next DVDs?

Was just watching the first of his carving vids with Chris Pye last night. Very good!

Thanks for the info, David. I guess with him away doing shows all the time it must be difficult to run a business?

My guess is that he'll start using Japanese saws for his DTs

His method of very very small pins of using the same kerf to cut down adjacent sides of two tails would be a tremendously small pin indeed with a very fine set Japanese saw; in essence, the pin would come to a point. Might be a bother to chisel out.

I would be very surprised if he went to Japanese saws, I once spoke to him ablout that, I believe in the context of cutting dovetails and his expressed opinion of them was not all that high. I believe he said that Japanese saws were for Japanese wood.
