Hi I have a Siberian Larch clad sliding gate that I have since July 2019.
I treated the wood before it was fixed to the gate with 3 coats of Sikkens HLS Plus but it needs another treatment now.

There is what seems to me like a black mould on the gate - see photos
I know I need to remove this before going again with Sikkens.
What do I do? Been advised to wash with a fungicide and that should be enough. Is it just a matter of making up a wash and washing it down with a sponge or do I need to get a deck brush and a bit of elbow grease.
The bottom of each timber lath is also quick black in colour where it sits into the steel frame. I did put about 6 coats of Cetol HLS plus on the ends
Hopefully the wash will be enough and I wont need to be sanding at it.

Any advice on what to put on it after?
Another coat of Cetol HLS and then some Sikkens Filter 7 (light oak)??

Thanks,
mullaghirl
