'Tis time to consider a replacement front door (and frame). The existing wooden door is almost 30 years old, is draughty and newer doors offer more security options. Furthermore depite my protestations, the present door gets knocked (and marked) by anyone who tries to unlock it and enter while carrying bags of shopping.
The requirements are straightforward - durable (to see me out), secure (preferably reliable multi-point locking), easy to lock from inside (possibly without a key), entry by key, etc.
I've heard varying reports of one popular make, with the manufacturer slow to respond to faults as their "contract" is with the installer. However, I'm stumbling when looking for decent alternatives and being confident about the materials and construction.
Do people on here have recommendations based on experience (including options to avoid)? For reference, I live in Surrey.
