Hi guys, went and visited one of my wife's friends this morning who is having a clear-out after her husband passed away last year. He was a master carpenter and traveled all over building boats, roofs, theres a pub in Southampton that has a spiral staircase case that he made by hand. Anyway... i spotted a Faithfull lathe that once given a clean up should sell on the-bay. Plus my eyes were drawn to some rather large Record G clamps, 12" i think, but alas they were missing the swivel foot. Is it possible to get hold of some sort of replacement at all, just to make them a bit more useful.?

Cheers guys....

make ur own with a metal lathe......
or get somebody to make em for u......very simple job.....
never seen em for sale as a replacement item.....but u never know......

A friend regularly turns them for me at the same rate as I find old cramps with the swivel foot missing. A very simple job for enyone who has a metal lathe. They seem to come in hundredtwentyeleven different sizes so the chance of finding something ready made that will fit is small indeed.
