If you use m.e.k. get some decent gloves, it's nasty stuff.

And if you do smoke at all, do NOT smoke while using MEK

You should be wearing a respirator so unless you make a hole in it, I have seen it done , it is pretty hard to smoke while using it.

I was told that carpet fitters tape leaves less residue/is easier to remove - I have bought some but am yet to try it!

recently started using this DS tape and it's amazing, no residue left over and it sticks wood down beautifully to a workbench NEC Tape | Approved Double Sided Tape | Cheap Event Tape From the UK

Label remover.
I put masking tape on first then stick DS tape to that, ten it's easy 'peely' to remove.

Please don't use MEK. It really is nasty stuff and if put on many plastics will melt them more easily than acetone.

I use MEK as 'styrene cement, when model building, so much cheaper than the tiny bottles from hobby shops. 1 L lasts a 'lifetime'.
