Kenny,

We are going to need a bit more information

What finnish is on the table?
What sort of stain are you trying to remove, coffee/tea or heat mark?

Means you will have get back on the phone :?

right she says its either coffee, diluting juice or a heat mark???
she thinks its just a standard varnish as thats the way she bought it.

sorry i cant give more info, but i haven't seen it yet myself.

There's a product by a company called "HG" that do a wide range of cleaning products. (Their grout cleaner is just fantastic - got to be seen to be believed).
Anyway - they do a ring mark remover which works well. I buy this stuff from my local hardware store, so I don't know how well distributed it is, but if you phone around maybe you'll be able to find some.

one last thing....

shoot whoever's responsable.....
But get them to step clear of the table first. You don't want to add to your problems with inconvenient splatter...
