removing cup stain

i am hoping someone could advise me as to how to remove a cup stain on a varnished coffee table.
my mother in law has just phoned asking me how to remove it, but i couldn't help her. any help would be appreciated.

We are going to need a bit more information :shock:

What finnish is on the table?
What sort of stain are you trying to remove, coffee/tea or heat mark?

Means you will have get back on the phone :?

right she says its either coffee, diluting juice or a heat mark???
she thinks its just a standard varnish as thats the way she bought it.

sorry i cant give more info, but i haven't seen it yet myself.

There's a product by a company called "HG" that do a wide range of cleaning products. (Their grout cleaner is just fantastic - got to be seen to be believed).
Anyway - they do a ring mark remover which works well. I buy this stuff from my local hardware store, so I don't know how well distributed it is, but if you phone around maybe you'll be able to find some.
