I used an extractor in the end. The stud was not seized so it came out quite easily :)

Great news mate!

It doesn't matter that the screw was not seized and the drama is over...this thread has served to record the many ideas from all over the country on how to do it and this is why this part of the forum is a blinkin' good idea!

Now..off you go to break something else otherwise we won't have anything to read on a cold winter's night! :mrgreen:
