Hello folks

here is a new form- loosely based on an ovoid but kinda tweaked a little!!

3 3/4" wide by 3 3/4" tall

I love the red mallee burr but not the resin side - the shape is lovely but the pink resin mix seems a bit insipid compared to the richness of the colours of the burr. Doesn't quite work as well as the previous one you had that worked really well. I think anyway :)

Fantastic finish again, but IMHO the resin colouring is a little too biological for comfort, puts me in mind of lungs or brain matter, no offence intended. The wood is beautiful.

I am no wood turner and therefore not in a position to make any critique except to say had it been turned as in photo 4 with the wood opening at the top of the resin with the resin 'sitting' in the wood and the wood 'holding up' the resin maybe they would have related to each other better, just a design feature.
Wish I could do it though.

Andy
