Hi I'm new to the forum, and pretty much to wood working in general.
I have a 2nd hand bandsaw record power bs250
I've bought some new blades from Ian at tuff saw blades.
But I really think the tyres need replacing,
My question is what's the best option for me?
I know its a bit harder to get urathane ones here in UK, I will be doing mainly straight cuts but I have also ordered some blades more suited to curves etc...
Or just get an exact replacement in rubber.

Any advice gladly welcomed.
And hi to everyone.

Ditto. So hard to replace.
1. Watch youtubers do it.
Yes, have to take wheels off bandsaw.
2. Heat the new tyres in hot water.
3. Watch the Record power video (they said they'd put one up).

It is tough to prise onto the wheel (and 'smooth out') but possible - I was convinced the tyre was too small.
I like the 'insert 1/2" dowel between tyre and wheel, to even it out / centre it.

Good luck.
