Recommendations for a dehumidifier

Our dehumidifier has bitten the dust. Fails to extract any water and Googling suggests that since (a) the fan is running (b) so is the compressor (c) the cooling fins are clear of debris it means that it has leaked the freon or whatever gas is used and that it is not economically viable to regas.

So any recommendations?

I've had an EBAC one that has been running continuosly for over 7 years.

Find a local car repair shop that do AirCon, maybe they could take a look.

I bought a Meaco DD8L Junior Dehumidifier last year and have used it to good effect in my unheated garage:

Another vote for the Meaco DD8L Junior, replaced our dead Ebac with it and it works very well.

Bought mine from Aircon Direct as it was cheapest when I wad looking.

Not to worry. I'd have to dig it out. I might now and stick it on Ebay, it's getting to dehumidifier time of year!

I have a couple of mitsubishi one bought from above link excellent machines found them very helpfull
they are expensive though
