Hello all,
I was wondering whether anybody had any experience of working with reclaimed azobe/ekki sleepers.
I gather it is very hard to start with, and 50 years of seasoning and compressing has probably added to that somewhat.
I need to replace a fairly rustic door frame to a cellar which is frequently wet for prolonged periods (i.e. October to May) and some supports for a well pump - also prone to wetness.
I can't imagine any sawmills would be interested but I've got a ripping chain for my chainsaw but if it's like milling concrete I might just use oak instead.
If anyone has any experience with azobe sleepers, I'd be very grateful for your thoughts.
Many thanks
Milodon
