This is one of the most thought provoking books I have read in a long time. Quite apart form the fascinating story itself which is one of the most truly frightening and awful stories one could imagine, it has made me stop and think about many of the major political events of my lifetime and is a wonderful accompaniment to any discussions on Zimbabwe, North Korea etc.
