Strictly speaking, the challenge text didn't specifically say that colour, pyrography, material or twigs were allowed, but that would discount the majority of the entries and leave me with only 3 to vote from...

Agreed , but it did say

" To create a Christmas related item

This can be a Snowman ( Snowperson  ) a Christmas tree or group of items making a scene
Must be as festive as possible

Max diameter of 12”
Max height 12”
Any wood type
Must be lathe turned
Also allowed are , cotton wool, tinsel and glitter to enhance your entry ( But you must still be able to see that its made from wood  "

So I cant see anything re paint pyro carving texturing piercing in the above requirements

Happy Xmas to one and all :deer :ho2 :deer

1 Silverbirch, just great stuff. Well thought out with a good sense of scale.
2 Monkeybiter, loved the grouping and they way they all looked up to the angel.
3 Haldane, once again great stuff. I always look forward to his stuff.
4 Woodspoiler, nice group.
5 Duncanh, my favourite piece technically.
