Hello guys, I was wondering if i could get some advice on raw finishes for outdoor furniture.

I've made this pallet board table top:

and would like to have some sort of completely raw finish so i can retain the colours, i guess it would be preferable if it was food safe, but mainly to protect it from our lovely UK weather. I've used Polyx osmo raw before but only on indoor projects and not sure how it will fare out in the elements.

I also make these pallet planters, and looking for a finish for those. It is pretty crucial that these are food safe (i think) as people will be growing herbs in them.

Any advice from you geniuses would be hugely appreciated!

Doesn’t need to be food safe unless your eating off it (assuming your adding the soil after finishing !)
Osmo do a raw exterior oil, not sure how it will look on pallets ( they’re generally not the best quality wood or designed for aesthetics!)
