Hi all after a lot o frustration with my sliding mitre saw and looking through the internet without too much joy i would like to buy a second hand Dewalt RAS it will just be for hobby work working mainly with oak cutting a max of 50- 60mm deep x 500mm long chair legs and the like, iam really looking for a reasonable size machine for this sort of work i dont want to end up buying a beast of a machine or something too light any help much appreciated
thanks Scott.

There are plenty on ebay and some go for little money. I bought an Elu 1251 (Now Dewalt 1251) for £60 although I think I was just lucky.

Keep your eys peeled, there are some bargains on there a 10" with a 16" cross cut version will be plenty and not to big either.

10" blade with a 1 hp motor will do it. If you expect to cut much thicker than that, I'd go with a 12" model.
