Quilted Maple

I am thinking about making a ukulele from quilted maple, and was wondering where the best place to buy it in about 3mm veneers is, for a reasonable price around chesterfield/mansfield?
Or are there any websites that sell this sort of stuff?

Be careful - in many cases pretty grain = short grain = weak. I suppose fiddle back sycamore is an exception
