quick question on chuck jaw compatibility

I know this has come up before but I just want to double check. As I recall there is a cheap (circa £70) chuck that Rutlands do that is essentially the same as the supernova 2 and therefore is 100% compatible with its jaws. Can anyone remember what its called please?

Hi

It's the XT700 but I'm not 100% sure that the jaw adaptors are compatible with the Supernova 2. They are however compatible with the RP 4000.

As Mick indicates, the XT700 is compatible with Record RP4000 and Vicmarc jaws, not Supernova2. Rutlands may do another chuck which is compatible, but don`t know about that.

It seems that Nova chucks are not compatible with XT700 jaws as they are in the group that includes the following
The Viper3 jaws are also compatable with the following chucks:

Charnwood W836

Vicmark VM100

Record RP4000

Rutlands Dakota XT700

Warco 9405

Craft Supplies CS400

Fox FX4000

I am pretty certain that I have seen several people say that these chucks have a different fixing to Nova chucks
