Just looked at D. Coates' Moxon vice and realised I'd not seen anything made from holm oak - has anyone got a picture of something a bit larger than the knobs on the vice?

Nothing to show made from its wood but the tree is getting very invasive hereabouts (it's a garden escapee) and is treated as a weed.

... we do battle with those too. There's a couple of giant Sycamores in a school playing field upwind of us. Damn tree seedlings trying to sneak up everywhere
