Hey All,
A little while ago there was a thread covering Woodworking magazines and what we thought of them. Recent issues of Good Woodworking have been really good (in my opinion) lately, some great workshop jigs and projects.
So what do you think, are the mags improving or just churning out the same old rubbish?
regards,
Philly :D

I'd certainly agree that GWW has been pretty good, and not just lately.

On the other hand, I've been very disappointed with Furniture & Cabinet Making over the last few months. Too much emphasis on very high-end machinery (how much coverage has Felder had lately??!?)

I think most of the magazines devote too little space to reviews, especially to handtools. And - for my taste - there's been far too many articles (in all of the mags) tending towards the DIY/home improvement rather than woodworking.

For my money there's still nothing that comes close to Fine WoodWorking.

Pete,
Agree with you on the FCM lack of hand tool reviews-and Fine Woodworking IS the best of the bunch :D
