Don't know if any of you cabinet makers can help.

Have a client who wants handle less doors with a push to open feature. I see you can get push to open hinges as well as catches. Do you actually need both the catches AND the hinges or can you just fit the catches as the doors are just going to be replacements so the normal euro hinges are already there.

Cheers

Hi you need unsprung concealed hinges for the catches to operate properly. I usually buy them from hafele.

AS said before, unsprung hinges and touch latches, I buy mine from Hafele too. They are rubbish though and unless they are to be used rarely try to talk your customer out of having them. It is far better in my opinion to go for a concealed handle.

Like these you mean they are actually reverse sprung, I have never used this type so don't know what they are like I normally either buy the un-sprung ones or you can take the springs out of normal blum hinges if you know what you are doing.

If you have a Howdens account they sell kits for their kitchens to convert to touch opening.

Go to www.Sommerfeld .com they have hinges called blue motion close by themselves with a slight push, and they have a slow catcher device to stop doors from banging shut.
you can route a hand slot in bottom of door ,so you can open it.

Blum do "tip-on" catches which are like their door buffers, used with unsprung hinges.

Use servo-drive on the draws for total hands free (well you still need to work something out for integrated appliances like dishwashers and fridges as well as some of the wirework like magic corners)
