Problem with a Dewalt 1420 radial arm saw

Hello, I have recently purchased a Dewalt 1420 radial arm saw and I am hoping that somone on here can help me separate the two halves of the yoke assembly so I can re fit the bearings.
I am sure it is straightforward to do but I am not sure if I just apply more pressure to the centre screw that is located in the middle of the bearings.
I have tried youtube but have not located a film showing this part being stripped.
