On my old laptop (running windows XP) I used to be able to click a box to print the outline of a picture, I now have a laptop running on windows 7 and I can't remember how to print just the outline of a drawing, does anyone have any ideas how to do it?
I am not sure which program I used for printing on the XP machine, but before I printed I went to a page that gave me a lot of different printing options, ie printing outline, shadow etc etc.

Many image editors have a function to find edges. In PhotoShop Elements it is under filter/stylize.

I think that's probably the program I used as it was preinstalled on the old laptop (Sony Vio)
Thanks

If you don't have anything installed on your new computer that will do it, you might look at Paint.NET. It's a very capable freeware image editor I use. It seems like it's not very well known and I only recently found out about it while reading a SketchUp tutorial on WoodworkUK.com

Paint.net is a very good program but be carefull when you download it as it will want to install alsorts of other stuff that you don't want make sure that you untick all the boxes for these other programs.
