Except for my lay up through health problems you may have noticed the lack of projects from me well this is what I have been working on.

The completed Prime mover is now finished. This took longer than expected due to the health problems, but I was not going to give in. I had a rough count and I think there are 9 or 10 different woods in the build. I did not want to use any stains or paints that is why I use as many different coloured woods where I can.

Don't ask how long it took as I don't keep a record of that side of things. I enjoyed the build and just have to say the glue on the wheels has not even dried when I took the photo's. I hope I have managed to get as much in as possible with the photo's

It measures 15 3/4" long X 5 1/2" wide X 7 3/4" to the top of the stacks.

Very nice - where is it going to be displayed?

Not for display but will be going to one of the family who will have it on display in his house. Most of the models and toys end up with the family. This was only made for an article I am writing for the Woodworker Magazine.

I really really want to be 5 years old again.
Derek that's freaking awesome =D>
Love it.

Thank you guys.

Love it.

Not really suitable for a 5 year old but with a little less detail it could be

Alan.

Even this is possible with very little experience and a basic tool set. It is just a case of take it slow and think ahead so anyone can do it. Having most machines did help me a lot as I wanted to make it from different woods that the plans state. This can be made with what can be brought straight from a timber supplier.
The plans were sent to me from Australia so that I could make it up and do a write up for a magazine which is what I have to do now as well as sort all the photo's of the build. This is the reason I can show the finished item and not the build of it.
There are easier model plans on the market some which can be got for free on the internet and are great for beginning with.

Astounding. Lovely toy......who's it for? Son, grandson or perhaps a boy at heart?
