I'm checking the pricing for a building job we are having done on our Ironstone cottage only to find that NHL3,5 Lime has gone up from £13 to c. £32 a 25kg bag since the start of the pandemic yet ordinary cement has hardly changed. Does anybody know why lime is now so expensive?

Rugby hydraulic lime 3.5 NHL cost me £9.50 a 25kg bag last month. I think you need to shop around. Though looking at the invoice it's shown as hydrated lime so maybe I got a deal.

I paid £16+VAT last week from local builders merchant although I normally get larger quantities from Ty Mawr in Brecon who are a bit cheaper £11.60+ at the mo.
