possible workbench?

My wife spotted a butchers block being offered on a free site the other day, so I went to pick it up and was amazed by what she got. It was an Ikea workstation made of solid beech. It's about 4ft long, and about 22 inches wide. The top is solid 2 inch thick, and the legs are 3 inches square. It's built like the proverbial brick outhouse, and would make a great small space bench. Apparently they sell new for £140.00, but I don't think i could buy the raw materials for that!.
Might be worth keeping an eye out for second hand ones. I found this one on fleabay completed listings

Just a couple of days ago I bought a conference tabletop, veneered mdf with rounded 4mm edging, since I found it cheaper than it would've been to buy just the veneer itself. The only downside was that I had to actually go into the place. It's like a vision of hell.
