Once you get past the issue of actually exposing the cut edges that we usually try to hide and make them a feature of the design, all seems fairly standard in this guys build until you get to the part where he realises he doesn't have enough material to make what he wants to. I quite like his way around that and how he turns it into an active design feature. (Apologies if you came here hoping to find out a new way to make your too short piece of ply long enough as this doesn't really do that but the title seemed valid)
 
I think the bits where he made up for the fact he didn’t have enough plywood are the most interesting part of the whole thing. I’m sorry the overall design didn’t do anything for me. There was a guy on here who did something much more interesting with edgeways on plywood for a chest of drawers front I seem to remember. Ian
