Hi,
I'm going to attempt to make some plywood drawers for my workbench and wondered what the best method for constructing them?

I have plenty spare offcuts to make them as Ive juts boarded my garage, however it's only 12mm thick so I do want to try and use this.

I do have a router tabie and was thinking of half lapping and just glue and screw, or maybe pin them?

Would this be O.K. or is there a better method?

I also have a Joint Genie and could use 6mm dowels, however this would make the walls only 3mm each side, which I asume would be too thin?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have some incredibly strong plywood drawers which I rescued from a friends leaky shed. They have been made using dado joints but maybe the strength is down to their thickness at 15mm.

Happy to photograph and measure if required.

Hi phil

I have made some big 12mm birch ply draws with just biscuits and they are holding up very well.
Have the sides lap the front for a stronger joint.

Pete
