Hi folks.

I had a recent project where I needed to chop up a load of awkward metal quickly, I bumped for one of the cheap Amazon mass produced Chinese plasma things. Quality out of 10, well.... But it did the job and I can see it could be a handy thing to keep around. The torch is about as cheap as it's possible to make anything, I recon the ingredients for a current bun would be more expensive and I'd quite like to get something a bit better with some standoff fittings.

The problem being I have no previous experience of these things and the manual (ahem) makes no reference to which torch type is suppled. So, I guess the torch type is recognised by the connections on the front of the machine, but how do I tell which is which and what fits what?

Many thanks.

Munty,
take a look at the migwelding forum UK.....
your question has been answered there just today.....
Lot's of info on that site and nice helpful people.....
But anything decent/well made/long lasting will be around the £6-800 mark...
the price is all thats holding me back.....not enough work to justify the cost....
I cant even get stuff cut locally, it's a 21/2 hour drive for me.....
so I just hack stuff up with a grinder as close too....
