I always fancied making one but it is rather big and will take up a lot of space.

There's a series of videos on line where Sam gives a Master Class featuring the chair - makes you cringe at times seeing him use the bandsaw?

Philly was making one using the plans from CHT but last time I spoke to him he was still working on it?

Somebody else did one on here a long time ago - maybe worth doing a search?

If its of any use, I have built a Maloof style chair using the Hal Taylor plans/manual. In a nutshell, they worked together well enough to allow me to produce a chair I am rather chuffed with. The manual is not the greatest with regard to clarity or accuracy of labels, but a thorough reading should suffice. A particular irritation is a constant reference to 'thickness' or 'width' but without any plans or figures to specify where this width or thickness applies to on the specific part in question. There are no 'plans' as such either, but a set of full size templates on paper are quite sufficient. Hal is, however, very good at helping out via email on any issues you may have.
Cheers,
Adam
